Senior Developer

The Position

You're a senior-level web developer who geeks out on clean code, and flawless user experiences — as comfortable talking technical specifications with a client.

We're a boutique, tight-knit branding and design studio of senior strategists, designers, and writers with over 30 years of experience serving both global and local brands.

Together, we will work to create full brand experiences for our clients that start with brand strategy and extend to every touch point.


The successful candidate will have

  • Solid portfolio that shows proficiency in beautiful, responsive, full-stack web development involving HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with PHP and CMS platform, including Drupal, Wordpress, Expression Engine, and ProcessWire
  • Bonus points: Proficiency in Python, Rails, iOS, Android, (let us know what you can do and what you’d like to do)
  • Blazing fast coding skills and ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced (but fun!) environment
  • The ability to deliver on deadlines
  • The ability to take pride in making kick-ass sites (because we’re a design agency, so we do a lot of those)
  • Appreciation for UX thinking and a commitment to problem-solving — you live to turn the complex into the intuitive

  • Can-do attitude and a passion for working with an interdisciplinary team where good ideas can come from anywhere


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with strategy and creative teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Full web development of both client and in-house web projects
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Help define user requirements, prototyping and the user experience for interactive projects
  • Present and defend solutions and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Establish and promote development guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Act as a resource for implementation troubleshooting, etc.
  • Be part of continually educating clients and staff on latest interactive trends and best practices


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full-stack development experience
  • An impressive portfolio of projects with reputable clients
  • Solid experience in creating and/or working with wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Mastery of LAMP stacks and database-driven development
  • Expertise in Drupal, Wordpress, Craft, Expression Engine, and ProcessWire, or combination thereof
  • Knowledge of GIT and source control workflow
  • Ability to present your work and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
