KARL BISCHOFF HONORED — RECEIVES LOCAL HERO AWARD

Seattle, Wash. (July 15, 2014) – Recently Karl Bischoff quietly accepted an award and, true to form, continued about his business. But he deserves the recognition and you should know about it. Although Karl is Chairman of Phinney Bischoff, a Brand/Creative/Digital agency, for the past 12 years he has also tirelessly volunteered for a most unglamorous but critical job: Once a month he puts on a large apron and quietly goes behind the scenes at St. Clouds and becomes the singular “Chief Dishwasher” for the 450 people the Homeless Cooking project serves. As such, he was honored with the Local Hero Award by the Madrona Community Council. This award is given to a Madrona resident for an act of heroism, singular kindness or generosity.

The entire Phinney Bischoff team is so proud of this recognition because we know he genuinely does this from the heart and does not seek any reward or recognition. He sets an example of what we all should strive to do within our own communities: To give of ourselves, to be good to our neighbors and pay it forward.
