Since 2009, marketing professionals on the client and agency side have hunkered down, devising strategies to “do more with less.”
As with all economic downturns, there is always an upswing…but when do we know it’s here?
In Seattle, we see a few indicators: construction cranes, large companies opening Seattle offices, recruiting on the rise, and our own business is also seeing the positive effects of rehabilitated marketing budgets.
So when NewsCred published “CMOs Say 2015 Will Be Epic For Marketing (And We're All Getting Raises),” we weren’t necessarily surprised—but we couldn’t help getting a little more excited.
Some highlights from the article:
- Over 80 percent of marketers are confident that they’ll meet top-line revenue growth and market share goals in 2015
- In 2015, 55 percent of marketers plan to hire additional team members
- The purse strings will loosen, with over 54 percent of marketers expecting bigger budgets
- And perhaps most important to you—83 percent of marketers are expecting pay increases in 2015
