THIS BRANDING BUSINESS…IT REALLY IS GOOD STUFF.
Blog Post, Posted on November 20, 2014
We recently took some time to enjoy a treasure of an event that is open to all: the Foster School of Business’s “Leaders to Legends” breakfast series. (If you haven’t yet, check it out.) This one in particular featured our client, Simon Woods, executive director of the Seattle Symphony.
Through our work and vested interest with our clients, it’s only natural to want to support them whenever we see an opportunity. Little did we know that when Simon presented the top 6 things that propelled the success of the Symphony, 1 and 2 on this list was the brand and the tagline! What a thrill to see our work make such a meaningful impact in the transformation of an organization!
"Adopting the ‘Listen Boldly’ tagline was one of the decisive decision points in our recent history, and it’s hard to imagine that we would have had the focus and attention that has come to us without that early commitment to adventure.” - Simon Woods
It’s easy to get caught up in our business and feel that it really is the most important thing. But to actually hear that firsthand from one of our clients is far more gratifying and rewarding. Bravo to the Seattle Symphony for all your success and we cannot wait to see what you have in store for your audiences in the future.
Some additional fun facts shared by Simon:
- Out of 600 professional orchestras in the United States, the Seattle Symphony ranks as the 12th largest.
- The “Baby Got Back” collaboration with Seattle’s own Sir Mix-A-Lot generated three million YouTube hits. No other professional orchestra has come close to that level of attention.
- The Seattle Symphony also commissioned Become Ocean by John Luther Adams which was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in Music this year.
