HELPING BUILD BRANDS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CASCADE CURTAIN
Blog Post, Posted on November 21, 2016
Last month a number of us hopped on a plane and flew over the Cascade Curtain to visit our clients in beautiful Eastern Washington. While there we packed in a full day!
Like any good trip, some of our schedule was planned and other parts were left up to serendipity. We were primarily in Eastern Washington to help our healthcare insurance client conduct focus groups but also had the chance to meet with our university client. Before we returned home to Seattle we also had the chance to view the retail work we completed at the new BECU Neighborhood Financial Center on North Division in Spokane which by happenstance happened to be across the street from the focus group facility.
Over the years we’ve come to really adore Eastern Washington and Spokane specifically. From the plane it’s beautiful to view the region’s rolling and expansive hills, an enjoyable contrast to Western Washington’s tall mountains and water features. Culturally speaking, Spokane is very welcoming and down to earth (sometimes even more so than Seattle – hard to believe but true). It’s also very outdoorsy. The city has large outdoor sporting events like Bloomsday and outdoor yoga!
Phinney Bischoff has been growing our clients in Eastern Washington. Trios Health sought us out three years ago to help launch their new brand. They had known about our strong portfolio of work and reputation of helping brands for many years and jumped at the opportunity to bring us on board despite our Seattle address.
Prior to our involvement, the health care facility was known as Kennewick General Hospital (KGH). For over 60 years KGH had served the Tri-City community. With a new hospital on the way, KGH knew it was important to have a partner with branding expertise.
In 2013, KGH formally rebranded to Trios Health. Phinney Bischoff was brought on to help publicly announce this transition by developing a multimedia advertising campaign which encompassed TV, radio, print, transit, and digital.
Today, as evidenced by our recent trip, our presence has grown in Eastern Washington as we’ve developed deeper relationships with brands in the region. Who knows, maybe in addition to a cool design house on Capitol Hill, we should have an equally cool ranch in Eastern Washington to work with our clients there.
Joking aside, we’re always on the lookout for brands in need of thoughtful, strategic design solutions. So regardless of your geography, send us a message if you’re interested in a dedicated design partner who is committed to creating memorable brand experiences. We love to travel and our people first design approach is focused on getting to know you and your customers.
